For the planning phase we reviewed the purpose of the website, define its targetaudience and the look of the website. The website’s purpose is to provideinformation to the client about the company. Its target audience are people aged18 and above that are seeking for financial literacy, want to secure theirfuture and investors. For the look of the website, the client pointed out thegood aspects that they want to keep from the previous website and leave all therest of the design decisions to me.
Thedesigning phase of the project took a moderate amount of time because there wasalready a previous website that has the color palettes, fonts and some contentsthat can be applied to the current project. It has been implemented but sincethe previous website is outdate all the imagery must be changed. Hence, I used royaltyfree images from Microsoft and some image from iStock that we purchased. Also, the new logo was provided by the client. Lastly, I searched some responsivedesign templates that I could use for the website’s framework. Beforethe development phase, I presented the design brief to the client, and it hasbeen approved with a recommendation to change the color palette have somepastel color to match the trend in 2020.

Apart of my task is to make the website live and link the previous domain nameto the new site. We purchased a new domain name and hosting plan from Bluehost, and I started to install the website in the cPanel. Then, I configure theprevious domain name ricarseinsurance.com to redirect to the new site. Forthe user testing, we manually shared the website to family, friends, customers, and potential customers (approximately 15 people) and asked them to test thewebsite. see more...
